4-Hour Guided Skiff Trip*
If a saltwater sight-fishing guided trip in a shallow water skiff sounds like fun, this trip may possibly be it!

I am a USCG Certified Captain & Licensed Guide in Connecticut & Rhode Island. I run a 17’ Mitzi flats poling skiff which can comfortably accommodate up to 2 anglers. My guiding season starts in May, pursuing striped bass during the Spring cinder worm hatch, and ends in October during the Fall migration.

Sight-fishing striped bass will be the focus. In my opinion this is the most challenging way to pursue them. I must warn you though; it is technical, but, when it all comes together, it is the most rewarding type of fly fishing! On the way to the flats, we may make a few casts to hickory shad, striped bass, bluefish, a sea robin, bonito, or an albie!

Casting ability is a must! As it will make for a more pleasurable experience!

Equipment:

The use of top-notch fly-fishing equipment from Cortland, TFO, Orvis, Tibor, Abel and Ross are provided but don’t hesitate to bring you own!

Location:

I am located in Mystic, CT and guide the eastern inshore/coastline between CT & RI

Rate: $450

  • Limited to 1-2 anglers due to space & style of boat

  • Casting ability required

  • Water and light snacks provided

  • 14 years or older & accompanied with an adult

3-Hour Wading Experience*
This 3-hour wading experience is only offered during the Spring & Fall season. It is NOT focused on catching fish, but there is always that possibility!

The goal of this on-water experience is designed to help you learn how to fly fish with confidence so you can then do it on your own!  Freshwater or saltwater, you decide! From putting on your waders, stringing your rod, tying on a leader, tying on a fly, hiking to the water, reading the water, casting, knots, setting the hook, and possibly landing a fish! Phew, that was a mouthful! Basically, I will be your fishing companion for the day and will be ready to answer any questions you may have to learn & have fun!
